About High Desert Riders
High Desert Riders has been around since 2005. We are a group of people who are dedicated to promoting equine activities of all kinds, committed to creating a trail system and preserving access to it, and devoted to treating our equines with the respect they deserve.

We have general membership meetings once a month in Edgewood (see home page for details). Attendance at meetings is not mandatory, but most members like to attend the meetings because we try to provide interesting guest speakers, educational talks or just fun stuff. We hold fund raising raffles at each meeting - raffle tickets are $1 each and if your ticket is chosen you get your pick from whatever is on the prize table that month. We also have refreshments after the meetings. Members volunteer to bring snacks all of sorts and sometimes we have some pretty spiffy gourmet dishes to sample.
Members also meet once a month to decide on trail rides, overnights, camping trips and other events that club will have. We have at least one livestock flea market each year, we also do obstacle courses, cattle clinics, roping clinics and this year we're going to try our hand at putting on a fun "fuzzy" show in the spring.
